Hello friends, I've missed you.

I know Brandi already spilled the beans on IG, but I'm excited to officially announce, I'm moving back to Nashville, TN! I will be splitting my time between a traveling gig with my best pal and designing/making for The Bueno Shop. I made the decision to move at the end of October 2014 and I've spent the following three months crushing out the details and moving a lot of heavy boxes. Of course it's terrifying to leave a comfortable bubble, but it's way more exciting to explore the unknown and take on new challenges. I'm incredibly thankful and feel so fortunate to have a family and group of friends fully supporting my new adventure.

Our blog content will shift a little, as our lives have, but our core will remain the same with surfy sundays, travel, fashion, adventure and shop updates. Our main focus will be The Bueno Shop. We've had the shop for a few years as a side gig and we could not be more stoked to finally have the time to make it our primary focus.

Cheers to growth!
-K

THRIFT CHALLENGE: THE PERFECT DENIM CUT OFFS

can you tell me which pair was 50 cents and which pair was 50 dollars?

usually when i see something i like, i can't just put it back on the rack. i usually make some weird reason why i deserve it, even if it's a lot of money. i have come to realize that this is a lame way of living! i could be saving tons of money if i just start shopping smart. my thrift challenge was to find a pair of levi shorts like the ones at imogene and willie. i totally would of bought them on the spot but they were a tad too tight on the waist. i would of justified paying over 50 bucks for these bc of the experience in that store.

why i need to change my ways:
1. i don't wear my expensive clothes or designer purses that often. i kinda feel embarrassed to carry around my big  LV or my chanel purse, instead i change out my thrifted purses daily:)
2. i wear the same 5 or 6 thrifted shirts ALL the time even though i have a sinful amount of clothing that i won't get rid of (in my office). yes i said office. i have too many clothes so jacob is converting our office into a dressing room for me!
3. we are going on a pretty amazing vacation in november and we need to start saving for the extra expenses!

i took before photo's of our office i will show you my dressing room when it's done:)

how cool is this? this is where they make the jeans :)
A while back Jacob went to Nashville, TN and came back to Houston raving about this shop he had stopped in called Imogene + Willie. He surprised me with a few goodies from the shop, an oil and a body scrub, and then continued to praise the shop. My curiosity was peeked, so I looked them up online, fell in love and added the shop to my list of 'must sees'. Around the same time, Kelly's boss at Fossil had just told her about the same place.

I recently went on a road trip to Nashville, TN with Kelly to help her move from Dallas. While I was there, we hit up as many places as we could together. Somewhere near the last day we were walking to Burger up and passed a signless building that resembled an old gas station with a large orange '+' sign. There were no cars out front, only a bike and a motorcycle, and we couldn't tell if it was open or closed. We went on to lunch at Burger up and I guess we both could stop thinking about it because as soon as we finished lunch we raced back over to the 'gas station' to figure it out. We soon remembered learning about this place months prior. With a little hesitation (because the place looked so cool), we walked in and felt like we just stepped into another world. Every inch of the place was covered in treasures of the past. To our right, the ceilings were covered in patterns and the room was filled with denim and sewers and machines and to our left was a shop that felt like a family member's living room. There was even a dog napping under the table! There was a fella standing in the room to the left that was quick to help and chat about Nashville recommendations. Needless to say, we were in love.

If you find yourself in Nashville, we highly recommend stopping by I+W.

Psst! These are the goodies from I+W Jacob got me.
